No. TranslateBot is free to use. You only need an API key from your chosen AI provider (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, etc.).
Use --dry-run to preview translations without API calls. TranslateBot only translates empty entries by default, so you won't pay to re-translate existing content.
Start with gpt-4o-mini for the best balance of quality and cost. Upgrade to gpt-4o or claude-sonnet-4 if you need higher quality for marketing content.
